N.I.T.A.P. Conference

30th September 1999

Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown

Due to the success of the 1998 Community Conference and Involvement Awards we are pleased to announce jointly with Central Community Advisory Group (C.A.G.) and N.I.H.E., that the 1999 Conference will take place on Thursday 30th September 1999 in the GLENAVON HOTEL, COOKSTOWN.

Community Association Conference

The Housing Executive, the Community Advisory Group (C.A.G.) and N.I.T.A.P. are, again, organising a conference for community representatives active within the Executive's Community Involvement Framework.
Central C.A.G. has asked that participation is encouraged from all levels, with members from Area C.A.G.s, District Consumer Panels and Community Associations being invovled.
Details of participants nominated to attend the Conference will be sought through the District Consumer Panels during July and confirmed in early September 1999.

The Community Involvement Awards

People get involved at Community level for many reasons; for example, to improve the image of their local area or to provide facilities for the community.

The Community Involvement Awards aim to give recognition to those people, groups and organisations who have made significant efforts to bring about positive change for the benefit of their local communities.

There are 6 main award categories this year:-


	A. B. C. D. E. F.	Individuals Community Groups District Consumer Panels Housing Executive Staff Energy Initiatives Environmental Improvements

The Awards Ceremony

All Area Winners will be invited to the Awards Ceremony which will take place during the Conference at the Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown, on 30th September 1999.

The Area and Northern Ireland Winners will be presented with their Achievement Awards at the Conference.

All those nominated will receive a certificate acknowledging their contribution and nomination.

Judging

Judging will be by representatives from each Area C.A.G., N.I.T.A.P., and the Housing Executive.
